This is Me

For years, you guys have known me as Snack Time Fantasy. Now, I would like to formally introduce myself for the first time.

My name is Cole Topham. I am 17 years old from Salt Lake City, UT, and the lead editor and founder of Snack Time Fantasy. Besides sports journalism, my passions include fantasy rankings, breaking down defensive backs on film, drinking chai lattes, rock climbing, piano, and absurd amounts of hair paste. It’s nice to meet you, too.

In the summer of 2015, I created my Twitter account under the name @Snack_TimeFS. At first, it was only a small hobby where I could follow and commentate on the latest sports headlines and provide my youthful voice on a platform known for catering to my demographic. Soon, I had people from across the world following my page and regularly contacting me for my opinion and recommendations on fantasy football rosters, the main focus of the page. Sundays became more than just a day to relax, eat chicken wings, and watch television; they turned into small holidays. I’d wake up early in the morning, boot up my laptop, and scroll through hundreds of notifications from anxious fantasy football owners worried they might not be making the right moves to beat their opponent.

Now, my original pastime has grown into more than I could have ever imagined at the time. In the four short years it has been in existence, STF has accumulated over 13,000 followers and averages over a million impressions a month. I’ve published articles for 13 writers, interviewed NFL Draft prospects, and answered thousands of fantasy questions. I even got the Miami Marlins to follow me back at one point! Through it all, I’ve met some of the most amazing people, including other sports fans, analysts, and podcasters that have supported my work without knowing who I truly am, something that amazes me every single day.

This fall, I will be attending college to pursue an undergraduate degree in sports journalism. As I begin this exciting journey, I have decided to make a few changes to STF that will reflect a more personal side of me. Hence the purpose of this article.

With that being said, I am changing the Twitter account to my own personal profile. Don’t worry, though, because STF is not going away. I will continue to provide high-quality fantasy articles, rankings, sports news, and advice like I have always done. The only difference is the person behind all the operations will now serve as the face of the Twitter feed as well.

To close this article, I would like to thank everyone that has supported me along the way. I know that I have a long way to go and a lot to learn. My career is still far from taking off. However, in my eyes, this is an opportunity of a lifetime and it definitely would not be possible without your shared passion in what I do.

Thank you all so much. Now, onto new horizons.
